Janet’s Priorities
Healthcare
I believe every Nebraskan deserves access to healthcare that meets their needs without government overreach. Medical decisions should remain private between patients and their providers, and one-size-fits-all mandates do not work in healthcare. I support maintaining nursing as a profession. I also believe the vote of the people should always be upheld. Voters approved medical marijuana, and it should be made available to be prescribed for patients whose symptoms are alleviated by its use.
Education
Strong public schools are essential to giving our children the best opportunities to succeed academically, socially, and beyond. I support maintaining and strengthening Nebraska’s public schools while respecting the choices of families who pursue private education.
Veterans
Our veterans deserve the highest level of care and respect. My professional experience providing healthcare for Veterans has made it clear that consistent access to medical and psychiatric care is essential. My late father, a WWII Veteran, served our country, and I personally understand the sacrifices our Veterans have made. I will continue to fight for our Veterans in the State Legislature.
Agriculture
Agriculture is at the heart of Nebraska and my life. I understand firsthand the challenges farmers face with rising costs and tight margins. We must pursue fair tax solutions and responsible spending to ensure long-term stability for our agricultural communities and our state. We must keep the family farm viable with fair prices for our crops and livestock.
